We are working on a project to integrate What3Words into the Emergency Medical Call Dispatch system. This will entail writing a series of API's that will convert a street address into a What3Words reference, that in turn will navigate an ambulance crew directly to the location. Currently, the API's and work flow processes are being tested to ensure accuracy and ease of use for the Emergency Medical Dispatchers in the 1669 call center.
A what3words address is a unique combination of three words that identifies a specific 3 metre square. It’s an easy way to find, share and navigate to precise locations, anywhere in the world.
.Used by emergency services across the world, if this passes through testing, Khon Kaen will be the first province in Thailand to use What3Words as part of the dispatch process, speeding up ambulance response times and ensuring accuracy of call locations/addresses.
